SERVING OUR NEIGHBORS

Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength and with all your mind; and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”   And a man asked him, “But who is my neighbor?”  And Jesus told him the story of the Good Samaritan….

At Ravenswood United Church of Christ we serve our neighbors and our community in a number of ways.  We feed the hungry by collecting food and volunteering at The Common Pantry and the Lincoln Square Friendship Center.  We help the homeless through our support of the Night Ministry which…..We work for an end to violence and poverty through social transformation in our work with the Community Renewal Society, a faith-based social justice organization.

There are a host of ways one can live out Christ’s compassion and mercy.  Please join us as we do our part to love our neighbors.
